The pool trustees have reluctantly decided to increase swim prices from May 1.
The new cost of an adult swim will be £6.20 and the concession rate for full-time students and over 60s will be £5.
Full details of all the new session prices can be found here: https://www.settleswimmingpool.co.uk/swimming/prices/
This is the first rise since 2020 and has been made necessary by three big increases in our costs:
1) gas bills have gone up four-fold in recent months from approximately £1,000 a month to £4,000 ( this is even with a big government subsidy due to end this month).
2) there has been a big rise in our insurance premiums
3) many other costs have risen as a result of rocketing inflation.
Public swimming pools across the country are under increasing financial pressure. Here, the trustees are taking a number of other measures to keep costs under control. Thanks for your continuing support for the pool.
