Splashing Tots

Special sessions just for parents/guardians with children under the age of 4 years. Learning to swim can start from an early age and the earlier you introduce your child to water the better. It helps prevent a fear of water developing at a later age. The sessions are not structured - they are a time for you to come and enjoy some special time with your little one. Coming to these sessions has a number of benefits. It promotes bonding with lots of skin to skin contact, it boosts confidence in the water, it helps develop their co-ordination and strength and lastly it enhances the child and parents well being. All equipment (baby rings, armbands) and toys are available to use free-of-charge and swim nappies can be purchased from the kiosk. There is no need to book for this session, which runs every Friday (10.15am to 11.45am) throughout the year, just turn up. Price includes your swim, a warm drink, juice for the kids and homemade cakes. A Swim England Swimming Teacher is on poolside to give help and advise. Some sessions will be themed. Please note one parent/guardian can attend these sessions with two children under the age of four.
